Why do you hate Sailor Moon?
I don't hate Sailor Moon, it's just that there is so much better animé out there. I can still watch the show, but it's been dubbed so poorly in places that I just can't stand it. Even the japanese version gets repetitive, meet the monster, beat the monster, every couple of shows beat a more well known enemy so another one can try something else...
How do you see episode that weren't dubbed for american television?
You look around for something called a fansub (fan-subtitled animé). Since it involves taking a commmercially availiable copy from Japan and copying it several times, at the same time adding subtitles, and sending out copies to 'friends', it is slightly illegal. But the good news: No one usually cares unless the 'distro' (fansub distributor) is found to be making a profit or selling something you can buy commercially (like Evangelion) or catch on TV in your hometown (Pokémon/Pocket Monsters). More good news: since making a profit is strictly forbidden, fansubs are usually pretty cheap ($5-$10 per tape), depending on how much the distro feels it's costing him to buy and ship tapes that day. Some also charge for wear and tear on their VCR, some get top-of-the-line HI-FI or SVHS tapes, most just make copies of someone else's fansub while a few actually subtitle these themselves (and importing Laserdisks from Japan isn't cheap).
The guy I got my wretched tapes from is Glen Pearce at http://www.autobahn.mb.ca/~glenap/sm_tapes.html. He's pretty fast and not overly expensive. Tell hmi I sent you, I wanna see if he'll start asking me why I told them to tell him I sent you. =)
If you like Sailor Moon, why do you have this site?
I don't love the show, and some people are soo obsessed that it's not healthy. I get many people actually asking for serious help, when I never intended this site to be taken seriously. I have a unique sense of humor that can tease smoething it actually likes. I still haven't decided whether I actually like the show or not, all I know is that it's lethal in large doses.
